KOI CLUBS
South East Koi Club
Our meetings are generally held on the fourth Sunday of
each month at 2.00pm at Chelsfield Community Centre,
Windsor Drive, Chelsfield, Nr Orpington, Kent BR6 6HD.
We sometimes move our meeting date to avoid our Open
Show, Christmas and sometimes if it coincides with
another club activity. Details of our meeting dates can be
found on our website.
Our programme of events cover all aspects of the care
and welfare of koi and include guest speakers with a
specialist knowledge of one or more aspects of the
hobby: including pond building and filtration; precautions
and treatment against parasites and other ailments;
purchasing new koi and what to look for; also breeding
and raising small koi, to name but a few topics;
refreshments are on sale too.
Our club has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all
aspects of the hobby and our new club members can
always get help and advice.
We have an extensive library of books, DVDs and videos
which you can borrow and gain even more knowledge.
Every month we produce ‘Spotlight’, our newsletter,
carrying news and a diary of coming events, this is also
available to members on-line.
Twice-a-year we hold an auction which enables our
members to buy or sell koi and koi related items – there
are often some real bargains to be had.
Every year we hold The All England Koi Show, this
spectacular event celebrated its 31st annual show in
September 2017. Over the years it has become one of
the largest koi shows in the country and is regularly
attended by koi-keepers from all over the UK, Europe
and further afield. We are planning our Young Koi Show
taking place on 24th and 25th March 2018 at Kent
County Showground, Detling.
