The Yorkshire Koi Society
We held our Photo Show over the weekend of 12th/13th
May when we visited 15 members’ ponds. 75 Koi were
entered and judged Saturday and Sunday, 5 Koi per
person. These ponds were all around Yorkshire starting
at Halifax-Leeds-Collingham-York and Wakefield on
Saturday, then Castleford-Barnsley-Sheffield-Rotherham
and Upton on Sunday.
All the Koi were bowled, benched and judged by
Anthony and Stephen Grey – Photos were taken of all
Koi for the judges to decide on the positions over the
next few weeks. Only Jim Shaw, our Chairman, is aware
of the winners which will be announced to the unaware
and hopefully happy entrants at our annual BBQ and
Presentation on Sunday 19th August (the event is
sponsored by Hikari foods).
We do call it our Photo Show but it is judged in the
correct manner not just on photos they are just
reference for the judges.
