KOI CLUBS
The Yorkshire Koi Society
The Yorkshire Koi Society is a completely independent
Society, the way it has been since it was first founded in
1975. We are happy to say we are still flourishing in this
our 43rd year. Membership still includes those with a
lifetime of experience in fish and Koi keeping, qualities
both valued and appreciated by newer members who
bring life and vigour to the Society.
Membership covers the whole of Yorkshire, here in
England and way beyond. We have members from the
area’s of Whitby / York / Sheffield / Goole / Leeds /
Castleford / Bradford / Wetherby / Barnsley / Doncaster /
Huddersfield / Hull / Rotherham / Wakefield / Cannock /
Manchester / Sutton Coldfield / Scunthorpe / Newcastle
and Collingham.
Our Aims:
To attract new members to learn how to look after their
pond and fish plus enjoy the trips/meetings and all the
club has to offer its members.
To invite other like-minded Koi clubs to exchange pond
visits with the Yorkshire Koi Society.
To invite guest speakers to our meetings, note all winter
meetings are held at Collingham Village Memorial Hall,
West Yorkshire LS22 5AS.
To gather, and with permission distribute, information
and articles of interest to Koi keepers via The Yorkshire
Koi Society’s website/forum.
To exchange magazines and articles with other groups
of Koi keepers throughout the world.
We do arrange each year a very successful members’
Photo Show where a team with a BKKS judge travels
over a weekend to members’ ponds bowling/judging
5 Koi per person (each contestant photographing these)
and presenting prizes/trophies to the winners at our
annual free BBQ in August.
