Mid Staffs Koi Keeping Society
Our Club has been going for over 35 years now and has a
wealth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of this
wonderful hobby. We are a small Club in the Midlands but
have been at the forefront of the Koi hobby for sometime
now. So whether you just like looking after your own Koi
and would like to know more about your hobby or take
your Koi to Shows, like The National Show, we can help.
Our Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Wednesday of
each month at 7.30pm at Cheslyn Hay Working Men’s
Club, 26 Station Street, Cheslyn Hay, Walsall, WS6 7ED.
We sometimes move our meetings during our annual
Open Show in August for new members to be welcomed.
In December, we don’t normally have a meeting to avoid
members’ Christmas work parties. We have an Events
page on our Facebook page so that you can keep
up-to-date with what’s going on in our Club.

Our Club Nights cover all aspects of keeping Koi and the
welfare of Koi, this includes guest speakers with an
abundance of freely given knowledge, from pond
building, filtration, precautions and help with parasites
and treatments needed to keep your Koi in good
condition. Dealers in attendance can help with what to
look for in a Koi and even breeding them too, etc.
Club Events: Every year we hold our own Closed Show
which is held at the Hollybush Garden Centre and Aquaria
just off M6 J11. We are now in our 34th Annual Show year
with some of the best Koi in the UK on display. Other Club
Events include our popular Show and Grow competition
with £ prices for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We also enjoy our regular
visits to Club members’ ponds, the Club also has visits to
Koi Dealers. For those of you that like Koi Shows we also
attend other Shows near and far, lots of us meet up at
these events and help each other with transport.
