I think it was about 1993, when there were plenty of between the three Sections.
Koi Shows throughout the summer months but there
was little happening after the South East Show at the When it came to breaking the Show down, it was easy,
end of August. One of the South East members, Kevin there was well over 100 members there, all getting
Jackson, had a great idea of a Tri-Show to be held in stuck in and helping. What a way to finish the Show
                             October! Season!
We held this Tri-Show for about six or seven years, I
IT WAS FUN, The idea was that the South East, Middlesex & Surrey
and London BKKS Sections should hold a joint Show to seem to remember Crouch Valley Section joined in for a
EVERYONE celebrate the end of the Show Season. Each Section year or two. I don’t know why it stopped, it just did, but
contributed a small amount of money to cover the cost nothing lasts forever.
WAS HAVING of the refreshments which were free and would bring
A LAUGH 10 of their own vats which they would be responsible
for drying and returning to their store. Each Section
would show their Koi in their own vats and each
Section was judged separately. The whole idea of the
Show was to bring members of three BKKS Sections
together at the end of the Show Season for a friendly
social get together. There was no admission charge, but
we used to request that the visitors spent generously
on the raffle, which they did.

We arranged to hold the first Show at the Brit Koi
premises in Syon Park, West London, later Tri-Shows
were held in the field at the back of Koi Water Barn’s
premises. Every year vats were set up on Saturday
ready for the Show the following day. Club members of
all three Sections brought their Koi to the Showground
early Sunday morning to be benched. The ladies from
each Section brought along food, the men ensured
there was plenty of beer. There was tea, coffee and a
barbecue on the go and everyone was walking about
laughing and chatting with each other.
The judging was undertaken by BKKS Judges and
when it was held at Koi Water Barn, John Pitham, the
owner, used to take the Judges across the road to have
