Section was judged separately. The whole idea of the
Show was to bring members of three BKKS Sections
together at the end of the Show Season for a friendly
social get together. There was no admission charge, but
we used to request that the visitors spent generously
on the raffle, which they did.
We arranged to hold the first Show at the Brit Koi
premises in Syon Park, West London, later Tri-Shows
were held in the field at the back of Koi Water Barn’s
premises. Every year vats were set up on Saturday
ready for the Show the following day. Club members of
all three Sections brought their Koi to the Showground
early Sunday morning to be benched. The ladies from
each Section brought along food, the men ensured
there was plenty of beer. There was tea, coffee and a
barbecue on the go and everyone was walking about
laughing and chatting with each other.
The judging was undertaken by BKKS Judges and
when it was held at Koi Water Barn, John Pitham, the
owner, used to take the Judges across the road to have
