Well, that’s it, The All England Koi Show is packed
away and the Koi Show Season in the UK is over for
another year, but I still have a few more Shows to let
you know about and will publish these when I get the
information.
I was looking at the filtration system on one of my Club
member’s pond last year who had built himself a
vegetable filter primarily to hide his shower, but it was
also proving to be a worthwhile addition in helping to
control the dreaded blanket weed. I wanted to write
about it then, but didn’t have a photo to show the plant
life in bloom so I thought now was a good time to
feature it and have asked Syd Mitchell to explain
