COMPETITION

A regular annual event of the Crouch Valley calendar is
the Photographic Competition. In recent years, the
format has been run along the following lines:
Members pair up during the summer months to take

TOTAL OF 65 KOI Up to 6 Koi are entered per member.
ENTERED IN THE To create healthy competition, Koi are judged in 4 Size

■ Size 1 and 2 is combined

■ Size 5 remains as Size 5
■ Sizes 6, 7 and 8 are combined

We have a best in each size for:
Gosanke and Non Gosanke
We then have major prizes for:
■ Grand Champion

■ Best Non Gosanke
■ Mature Champion
■ Adult Champion
■ Young Champion
■ Baby Champion

Being fortunate to have Keith Bertie, a senior BKKS
judge as a member and once all the photos have been
benched and anonymised, they are sent to Keith to
judge. At one of our winter meetings, Keith then
