On the way back we called in to Blackburn House Koi
situated deep in the countryside on the Cumbrian
Northumberland border with beautiful views around.
Here they stocked a good range of Japanese Koi which
were displayed in an attractive raised pond, there were
numerous oriental ornaments, statues, buddhas, and a
wide range of pots, dwarf conifers and shrubs. There
were eagle owls, ornamental bantams, it was almost
like a small zoo!
We would have liked to stay longer but we still had a
long way to go home. Another great weekend away
and many thanks to all our Scottish friends and also to
Laura Scaum for organising this trip.

We stopped at
Blackburn House Koi,
set in the beautiful
countryside. The main
display pond was in a
stylish fish house,
sales ponds were held
in another building.

Sadly, it was time to say
our goodbyes, but what a
fantastic weekend.
